Niue Amber Road - Elblag Silver $1 with Amber Cabochon Jewel

Niue Silver Amber Road Elblag $1 with AmberNew Amber Road with Huge Jewel!
If you have either of the first two coins in this series you know how incredibly beautiful the design is. The third and latest coin in the series continues this tradition. Struck by the Mint of Poland, these intricately designed coins are artistic and intriguing, both due in large part to the huge hemisphere of amber that bejewels the obverse of the coins!

Please click on any link in this section to read more about the ancient Roman trade route celebrated by this coin program, the Amber Route.

Amber Road #3 - Elblag in Silver
The Old City (Polish: Stare Miasto) is located on the river Elblag connecting Lake Druzno to the Vistula Lagoon, about 40 miles south of Gdansk (Danzig). As such, it was perfectly situation on the old Roman Amber Route, and a was a significant transport and distribution center for amber leaving the Baltic coast and heading to points south, east and west. As a Roman town, it was known as Truso.

Availability Notes: While we have no specific order limit on this coin, we reserve the right to limit excessively large orders in order to assure fair distribution. The first Amber Route coins currently trade for upwards of $200 on the open market, so we recommend fast action.

For customers who purchased the first two coins in the Amber Route program from us, we will try to honor matching quantities, to allow collectors to maintain their series. In other words, if you bought two of the Kaliningrad (Amber Route #1) and Gdansk (#2), we will be happy to provide you two of the Elblag coin, provided you order quickly enough, but we cannot guarantee quantities beyond that, as these will sell out (especially at our sale price).

Niue Amber Road - Elblag Gold $5 with Amber Cabochon Jewel

Amber Road Elblag GoldAmber Road #3 - Elblag Gold Proof
The gold version of the Elblag Amber Route is impressive in every way! From its old-world-inspired design, full proof finish, and the large amber jewel on its face, we know you'll love it!

This is only the third gold coin ever struck by the Mint of Poland with native amber embedded in it! Poland is world famous for the quality of its amber, and in fact produces more amber than any other country. Nearly all washes ashore on its northern, Baltic Sea coast.

This half-ounce gold proof has a total mintage limit of only 2,000! Considering that gold is just about at $1000 per ounce, this low-mintage beauty is priced at only about 1-1/2 times its melt value at our incredible sale price, making for an impressive investment opportunity as well! Don't delay!

2010 Canada Return of the Tyee $3 Gold-Plated Silver Proof

Canada 2010 Return of the Tyee $3 Gold-Plated Silver Proof
Native American Design with Two Color Gold Highlights!
Based on a hand carved, red cedar shield originally created by Canadian artist Jody Broomfield of the Squamish Nation, Coast Salish people, this beautiful silver proof is a visual representation of the Native American appreciation of the circle of life, as represented by the positioning of the two salmon. The coin is highlighted with two different colors of 24-karat gold plating (a Royal Canadian Mint first!): both rose gold and yellow gold. Rose gold is also known as red gold and pink gold.

The rose gold colors the salmon, where it appropriately suggests their hue as well! The fish are surrounded by a band with the phases of the moon, which further enhance the theme of life's rhythms. Traditional engraving preserves the visual effects and textures of the cedar bark rope that form the outer ring of this decorative band. Stuck in pure silver with a proof finish, this wonder is made all the more desirable by its unusual, $3 face value, as well as our below-issue sale price!

For each 2009 Return of the Tyee Silver Proof purchased, you will receive a 1999 Tribute to Native Americans Commemorative Quarter for FREE!
