The Golden or Yellow Labrador
A cute Labrador puppyLabrador Retrievers are registered in three colors: black (a solid black color), yellow (anything from light cream to "fox-red"), and chocolate (medium to dark brown). Labradors are an intelligent breed with a good work ethic and even temperaments. Common working roles for Labradors include hunting, tracking and detection (they have a great sense of smell which helps when working in these areas); disabled-assistance, carting, and therapy work. Approximately 60–70% of all guide dogs in Canada are Labradors.

The Labrador Retriever Silver Proof is the first in this new and exciting series, to be released by the Perth Mint. Coins commemorating the following canines are planned:

    Labrador Retriever - Guide Dog
    Border Collie - Sheep Dog
Australian Cattle Dog - Herding Dog
    Beagle - Detection (Sniffer) Dog
    German Shepherd - Police Dog

2010 Australia Kangaroos Boxing Ultra High Relief Pure Silver $1

Australia 2010 High Relief Kangaroos Boxing $1 Silver Proof
High Relief Boxing Kangaroos!
The kangaroo is one of the definitive symbols of Australia, the island continent. The Perth Mint and Talisman Coins are proud to bring you an unprecedented new addition to the renowned Australian Kangaroo coin series. Previously only available in pure gold from Perth, this is the first-ever silver Kangaroo proof from the Mint, a one ounce, pure silver dollar issued as the first annual silver release for collectors! The coin is struck in ultra high, medallic relief on a concave, double-thick planchet (it is a piedfort) with a proof finish. It depicts two roos boxing or fighting, amidst the stark and foreboding landscape of Australia's outback.

Kangaroos "boxing"The description of boxing kangaroos originates from the animal's defensive behavior, in which it will use its smaller forelegs ("arms") to hold a rival or attacker in place while using the claws on its larger hind legs to try to kick, slash or disembowel them. This stance gives the impression that the kangaroo appears to be "boxing" with its adversary.

An Ultra High Relief, Proof Piedfort!
Once again, the Perth Mint has done the fauna and natural beauty of Australia proud! The coin is struck in ultra high relief, with a frosted cameo proof finish, and is a piedfort (double-thick coin), measuring a substantial 6 mm thick! Hard to find and popular with collectors for more than a century, piedforts are highly sought after.

This Boxing Kangaroos Silver Dollar is only the 3rd high relief, silver piedfort proof released by the Perth Mint, following:

Battle of Marathon 2500th Anniversary Military Silver Dollar
Sydney Cove Medallion Allegorical Silver Dollar

2010 Tuvalu Reunification of Germany 20th Anniversary $1 Silver Proof w/Color

2010 Germany Reunification 20th Anniversary Silver $1Beautiful, Inspirational Silver Dollar!
We are proud to bring you this low-mintage (only 5,000!) proof silver dollar with so many relations to history - Old Prussia, Napoleon, the German Empire, the Nazis, the Cold War, the Berlin Wall, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and German Unification all are intimately connected through these monuments, the Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate.

This beautiful coin celebrates Germany Reunification. Divided since the end of World War II, the two halves of the German nation were reborn as a single federal state on October 3, 1990 amid scenes of euphoric celebration in Berlin.

A close up view of the Quadriga statue atop the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, as seen at night. We love the way this beautiful and symbolic silver proof commemorates the 20th anniversary of the German Reunification creatively. The numeral "20" is incorporated into a design that features fireworks of celebration set on a background of black, red and gold (the colors of Germany's national flag). At the bottom is the Quadriga or Victory Chariot of the Brandenburg Gate, the closest thing Germany has to a national symbol.

2010 Blackbeard the Pirate $1 Brilliant Uncirculated with Color

Australia 2010 Blackbeard the Pirate $1 BU
Golden Age of Piracy - Blackbeard $1
The original American rebel!

Shiver me timbers! The mere mention of the word "pirate" conjures up mental images of scalawags with eye patches, peg legs, hooks, nose rings, earrings, and parrots, shouting, waving cutlasses and the Jolly Roger! The Perth Mint of Australia has done Blackbeard, the world's most infamous buccaneer, proud! The notorious pirate is depicted in a dramatic portrait (drawn from original source material!) standing on a Carolina beach, a long rifle or musket in his right hand and his cutlass at his side. His ship Queen Anne's Revenge sails behind him as he admires an open treasure chest full of pirate coins, gems and booty under the palm trees.

The notorious American Pirate BlackbeardBorn in England around 1680, Edward Teach was the archetypal bloodthirsty pirate. Arming his large, six-foot frame to the hilt with multiple cutlasses, daggers and flintlock pistols, he added a demonic air to his appearance by tying smoldering hemp cords in  his long black hair! He captured a large, British-built French slave ship, armed her to the gunwales with cannon and renamed her Queen Anne's Revenge (pictured on this coin). As the flagship of his squadron, he successfully blockaded Charleston harbor in May, 1718!

Jolly Roger Pirate FlagHis infamous career, however, lasted less than two years. Hunted down by the Royal Navy, Teach's last stand is famous. He was reportedly shot five times and stabbed and hacked more than twenty times before he died and was decapitated, with his head being placed on a pole on the shore of Virginia's Hampton River as a warning to those who would perpetrate the villainy of piracy.

Best of all is the price - it won't cost you a hostage's ransom to get this affordable, full color dollar! Get it now at our ridiculously low, introductory price!
