More Spoils from the mother of all European buying trips! Once again we offer you some
unique coins, low mintage investment pieces, and great buys we got overseas! We've
even uncovered some hidden quantities of some long-sold-out favorites!
Goodies? What Goodies? Who Wants Goodies?
Goody #1 - Black Swan "Flying Goose" PatternA stunning coin, with a fascinating story, at a tremendously affordable price. Intended only for the Australian numismatic market, we acquired some through channels to bring this gem to you. The complete Patterns of 1966 5-Coin Pure Silver Proof Set is also still available. Goody #2 - Berlin World Money Fair Special Edition 2 Kookaburra Set Limited mintage, full-color packaging, and one more shot at the sold-out 2009 "Rising Sun" Kookaburra design, with the special "P20" mint mark! Incredibly, our introductory sale price for this low-mintage set is less than buying the two coins individually! Goody #3 - Deadly & Dangerous Saltwater Crocodile Silver Proof We found a small number of this hot, hot issue! Remember, last fall it sold out at the Mint in under 2 days, and soon followed suit here. We broke a few hearts but had no choice but to limit orders for fairer distribution. If you missed out then, don't wait now - grab this croc by the tail and don't look back! Strict per-person limit of 2 per customer will be enforced. Goody #4 - The Battle of Gettysburg 1863 Silver DollarAnother thrilling find - and another coin that sold out at the mint in under 48 hours! We've been out of stock for some time, too, but not any longer. Some doofus was sitting on a group of these, but we twisted his arm and he gave up the goods. We didn't make him cry "Uncle", but we did get a great price. His loss is your gain - but act quickly, we have a strict per-person limit of 5. Hope you like all the goodies! |

2009 Tuvalu Deadly and Dangerous Saltwater Crocodile $1 Silver Proof with Color

The Deadly & Dangerous "Saltie"!
Perhaps
one of the most demanded coins of the entire year, last year's
Saltwater Crocodile was sold out immediately on release and the devil
to find at a reasonable price! However, we came away from our European
trip with a small cache at a great price! This spectacular, pure silver proof silver dollar features a huge saltwater crocodile, lunging and snapping at the viewer! Behind this monster one can see the waterlilies of its native habitat, a commonly occurring plant in the floodplains of Kakadu National Park, one of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Australia. The coin is minted with frosted cameo relief, with the croc itself and the leaves or pads of the waterlilies accented in vibrant color! This is the fourth release in the Deadly and Dangerous series from the Perth Mint. The first three releases have all increased significantly in value. Given the theme of these coins as well as the woefully inadequate mintage limit of only 5,000 per release, it's only natural that collectors have flocked to these beautiful coins and driven the prices skyward! A strict limit of two per customer will be enforced. This limit is 2 per name, household, address, email address, credit card number, and/or phone number - please don't try to circumvent it. |

Tuvalu 2009 Famous Battles - Gettysburg $1 Pure Silver 1 Ounce Color Proof
|
||
The
Battle of Gettysburg was the turning point of the American Civil War,
the largest battle ever fought in the Americas, and the high-water mark
of the Confederacy. This was the biggest coin in the
Perth Mint's Famous Battles of History Series,
so we knew it would sell out fast. Fortunately, our contacts paid off
and we came away with a nice stash of these at an unbelievable price!Three days in July, 1863 altered the course of history, not just for the United States, but for the world as well. As far as changing the course of history, Gettysburg may be the least known and studied throughout the rest of the world of the Famous Battles of History series, but as far as the worldwide impact on history, it may be the most significant. Consider this - if the Confederacy had won the Battle of Gettysburg and defeated the Union Army, the road to Washington, D.C. was wide open. And General Robert E. Lee would have taken it. So what if the South had won? This topic has been explored by numerous writers, imagining the effects of two separate United States of Americas on World War I, World War II, the Cold War, etc. The results boggle the mind. Once again, the Perth Mint has done history proud! The Gettysburg Silver Proof depicts the final stages of Pickett's charge, simultaneously one of the most heroic and tragic events in the annals of war. Brigadier General Lewis "Lo" Armistead of the Confederacy (waving his hat on the tip of his saber blade) leads the the charge directly into the Union lines at the Angle. This was the High Water Mark of the Confederacy - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 3, 1863. A Union sharpshooter and a Confederate cannon are deftly engraved and struck in frosted cameo relief. A strict limit of five per customer will be enforced. This limit is 5 per name, household, address, email address, credit card number, and/or phone number - please don't try to circumvent it. Our stash will not last long, so get this hard-to-find gem while we still have it, at a terrific price! |
