There is no doubt that these will sell out quickly and be highly sought after commodities in the future. However, if the full set isn't in the offing, we strongly suggest considering one of the single, stand-alone Gold Color Maples - just pick your favorite season! PLEASE NOTE - These new releases were just announced by the Mint. We are currently taking, guaranteeing and confirming orders now. Most of these are not scheduled to be released by the Mint until sometime in late July or early August. We will despatch orders for these new items as soon as they are available. New Wildlife Conservation Series!
Only Canada's second square coin (after 2006's Square Beaver) - and the first in this new series - the Barn Owl is sure to be a hit! This gold-plated silver proof aims to raise the profile of these endangered animals of North America. The Barn Owl is a pale, long-winged, long-legged owl with a short squarish tail. The light face with its heart shape and the black eyes give the
flying bird an odd, startling appearance, like a flat mask with
oversized oblique black eyeslits, the ridge of feathers above the bill
somewhat resembling a nose. It is most recognizable by its "mask-like"
faceContrary to popular belief, the barn owl does not hoot (such calls are made by typical owls, like the Tawny Owl). It instead produces the characteristic shree scream, ear-shattering at close range. The Barn Owl $3 Square Silver Specimen is the first in the new Wildlife Conservation Series from the Royal Canadian Mint. Square silver coins depicting the following endangered animals are planned: Barn Owl (Click here for more great owl coins!) Polar Bear Orca (Killer Whale) Black Footed Ferret Get this first in the new series now at our initial sale price! |

2010 Euoplocephalus Dinosaur Fossil $4 Pure Silver Proof

Fifth Dinosaur Fossil Coin Unearthed!
This heavily armored dinosaur, Euoplocephalus, armed with spikes and a club, is uncovered on this affordable, pure silver proof with an intriguing $4 denomination, and with the lowest mintage of any coin in the dinosaur fossil - just 13,000! A Heavily-Armored Tank! Euoplocephalus tutus (meaning "well-armored head") lived between 85 and 65 million years ago, in the late Cretaceous period. Euoplocephalus was 20 feet (6 meters) long and weighed over 2 tons, about the size of an elephant. The entire head and body of the Euoplocephalus are covered with bands of armor, which allowed a surprising amount of flexibility. It was the first ankylosaurid discovered with armored shutters that it could slide down to cover its eyelids! In addition to the plates with spikes running down its back, Euoplocephalus had large horns growing from the back of its head. It also had a bony club at the end of its rigid tail, which it carried above the ground. The tail was muscular, so the club could be swung from side to side for defense. The Euoplocephalus Dinosaur Fossil features the RCM's patented "fossil" technology. The unique patination gives the fossil skeleton an aged appearance. Variations in tone and color are a direct and intentional result of this process, so no two coins will look exactly alike! Get this fifth in a very popular series now at our great sale price! |

Truly Rare Gold Color Maple Leaf Proofs with Colo!
The
Silver Maple Leaf and Gold Maple Leaf programs are the precious metal
flagships of the Royal Canadian Mint. Aficionados of Canadian
numismatic offerings have long been enamored of the ongoing Color
Silver Maple Leaf series of collector favorites. Well, here's a new
wrinkle - the first-ever Gold Maple Leafs with Full Color! Throw in the
variety of the four different seasons, the enhancement of the color on
the frosted cameo proof finish, and the impossibly low mintage of only
one thousand each, and you've got a sure winner! These 14-karat gold proofs each feature an artistically rendered portrait of maple leaves, national symbol of Canada. In addition to these affordable gold proofs, Canada has also issued specimen finish Gold Maple Leaf (GML) coins, as well as the long-running series of Silver Maple Leaf (SML) coins, the flagship coins of the Royal Canadian Mint. There are four coins in this series, one for each of the seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. They are available singly and in this four coin set. Investment Note The mintage limit for each coin in this set is only 1,000, making them truly rare and meaning that only that total number of people worldwide can ever own them. This is a tiny mintage for such relatively inexpensive coins - most larger, more expensive gold proofs have a higher mintage as well. In that each portrays maples leaves, the dominant symbol of Canada (as found on the Canadian national flag), we recommend securing your position immediately. ![]() Canada $75 Autumn Gold Color Proof
