We're
very excited to be participating in the first annual Whitman
Philadelphia Coin Expo
next weekend! The City of Brotherly Love will
welcome you with both the depth and breadth of its history and culture.
As this first
show kicks off, we are reminded that Philadelphia is the site of many
"firsts" in U.S. history, including the first bank, municipal water
system, and of course, the first Mint in the United States, created by
the Coinage Act of 1792!On behalf of the Mints of Australia, Canada, France, Poland and New Zealand, all of us here at Talisman Coins invite you to visit us at this numismatic event. We'll have a long row of tables along the back wall, and as always for Whitman shows admission is free! Please see the last section of this newsletter for full details & schedule. We'll have our usual tremendous selection of goodies, and of course we have a number of exciting new items, including brand-new coins from Canada, Poland, and Australia! Here's what's new - you'll find all in today's newsletter: • The fourth and final Dinosaur Fossil from Canada - the 2010 Dromaeosaurus Raptor! • The fourth in the Perth Mint's Famous Battles series - the 2009 Battle of Balaklava! • Canada's latest Gold Hologram: the 2010 Year of the Tiger! • Ultra-rare platinum from Canada, the Extinct Steppe Bison, with a mintage of only 200!
At the Philly Coin Expo, we will also have:• An exciting selection of beautiful coins, sets & gifts from the Perth Mint in Australia! • Coins from Canada, Poland and France, including many of the latest releases, of course! • A great selection of proof commems from Communist North Korea, covering a variety of popular topics - hard to find, but hardly expensive! • Coins from around the world, including older issues, toned & certified gems, errors, etc. • Our infamous bargain box! Coins starting at 50¢, and nothing over $10, but all quality, including proof coins, silver, unusual shapes, errors, etc.! • High relief medals and medallic art; tokens; art bars & rounds; and other exonumia! |
