Culturally significant coins of
hand-selected quality in a brand-new, full-color package - and this
year an even lower mintage limit!

The
2010 Proof-Like Uncirculated Mint Set includes an example of each and
every one of the circulation coins of Canada, each of which features a
design of national importance, including:
One Cent Maple Leaf Penny
Five Cent Beaver Nickel
Ten Cent Bluenose Schooner Dime
Twenty-Five Cent Caribou Quarter
Fifty Cent Coat of Arms Half Dollar
One Dollar Common Loon "Loonie"
Two Dollar Polar Bear "Toonie"
All are specially-struck and hand-picked for these high-quality sets.
Each coin has a proof-like finish and includes the
RCM mint mark on the queen side of each coin! Canadian half dollars are
no longer issued to banks for general circulation, so these mint sets
are now the only way to get these coins individually.
New
this year - a phenomenally attractive, full-color package - the same size and shape as
previous years, to ensure continuity and collectibility!
Investment Note
We generally don't speak of a mint set costing less than $25 as an
investment. However, the Royal Canadian Mint has added an interesting
wrinkle this year - a new, even-lower mintage limit. This 7-Coin Mint
Set has a mintage
limit of only 55,000 (and all certificates are individually numbered),
meaning that this set will be very hard to find in the future. Consider
that on an annual basis, the U.S. Mint produces over 4 million (that's
4,000,000 !) uncirculated and proof sets combined, and you can see that
this is a relatively tiny mintage limit for such an affordable set
replete with iconic coins.

Obverse
The
obverse of each coin features the familiar designs found on the regular
circulation coins of Canada as described and pictured above.
Reverse
The reverse of each coin features Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of
England, in profile facing right. This portrait, the fourth effigy of
the queen to appear on Canadian coinage, was executed by the artist
Susanna Blunt. The legend ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA ("Elizabeth II,
Queen by the Grace of God") and mint mark also appear.
Packaging
The coins are sealed inside a handsome, full color blister pack folder,
protected inside a heavy stock, full-color sleeve. An individually
numbered
certificate with
full specifications is integral to the set.
